Ration card beneficiaries can now get an easier way to complete their e-KYC process through the ‘Anna Seva’ App. In selected districts, eligible beneficiaries may be able to complete the verification process from home using their mobile phone, reducing the need to visit a ration shop or government office.
To begin, beneficiaries need to open the Anna Seva App and select the relevant ration card e-KYC option. They may be required to enter their ration card and Aadhaar details and complete the identity verification process. Depending on the process available in the beneficiary’s district, face verification through the mobile camera may also be required.
The home-based e-KYC facility is not necessarily available across all districts. Information indicates that the facility is currently being made available in eight districts. Therefore, beneficiaries should first check whether their district is covered and whether the option is active in the app.
Before starting the process, ensure that the Aadhaar and ration card details are correct. Completing e-KYC with accurate information can help avoid verification-related issues and ensure that eligible beneficiaries continue to receive ration-related services without unnecessary interruptions.
