Farmers receiving financial assistance under the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana should ensure that their eKYC verification is completed. The government has made eKYC mandatory for beneficiaries to verify their identity and ensure that financial assistance is transferred to eligible farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, generally provided in three installments of ₹2,000 each. Farmers whose mandatory verification requirements are not completed may face interruptions in receiving future installments.
There are multiple ways to complete PM-KISAN eKYC. Farmers can use the official PM-KISAN portal and complete OTP-based verification using their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Another option is face authentication through the PM-KISAN mobile application and Aadhaar Face RD app.
Farmers who cannot complete the process online can visit a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) for biometric verification using their Aadhaar details.
After completing eKYC, beneficiaries can check their verification and payment status through the PM-KISAN portal. Farmers are advised to use only official government platforms and keep their Aadhaar and registered mobile details updated to avoid payment-related issues.
