Biometric eKYC
Farmers who cannot complete OTP-based verification can visit an authorised Common Service Centre (CSC) or other authorised service centre.
At the centre, Aadhaar-based biometric authentication can be used for verification. The process generally involves authentication using the farmer’s biometric details.
Therefore, if a farmer is being asked to complete biometric eKYC, it may be because biometric verification is the available option for that farmer. But it should not be understood as a rule that every PM-KISAN beneficiary must necessarily use fingerprints.
Face Authentication Through Mobile
PM-KISAN also supports face-authentication-based eKYC through its mobile application. This gives beneficiaries another way to complete identity verification without necessarily visiting a service centre.
Farmers should use the official PM-KISAN application and follow the instructions shown during the verification process.
Why Should Farmers Complete eKYC?
eKYC is used to verify the identity of beneficiaries and help ensure that government financial assistance reaches eligible farmers. It also helps authorities identify records that require further verification.

Important Safety Warning
Farmers should be careful about fake websites, WhatsApp messages and individuals claiming that they can release PM-KISAN money after payment of a fee. Do not share your Aadhaar OTP, bank OTP, PIN or other confidential information with unknown people.
